Wood Green comprises of a large main High street with all the usual big-name stores and supermarkets, mixed in with many local fashion and budget shops. Off the main road you will find smaller, local shops including butchers, cafes, an independent bookshop, and many takeaways. At the top of the high street there is a choice of cinemas offering mainstream films.
Wood Green offers a diverse range of cultural food choices and also has a market on the first Sunday of every month.
Wood Green also has the outstanding Alexandra Park school located in its area.
Wood Green has a few small greens and recreational grounds. For a larger park, Alexandra Palace is only a short walk, or very short bus ride away.
The Wood Green tube station is on the Piccadilly line, offering an easy ride to many of central London's tube stations.
